TWIS endeavors to create a teaching and learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and promotes diversity and international mindedness. Our highly-qualified international teachers are from over 10 different countries. We believe that exposure to a multicultural environment can help students to develop global awareness, knowledge, and values that are essential to excel academically and personally in the 21st century.

Egerton老师，他是我第一次在印度尼西亚万隆时候的导师。 当时我在教剑桥高中课程AS/A-Level ，他耐心而专业地指导我。最后我学到了很多东西，并且在教学上获得了更大的信心。

Mr. Egerton, my mentor during my first time in Bandung, Indonesia. He guided me patiently and professionally when I taught the Cambridge curriculum AS/A-Level which is at the end I learned a lot and gained more confidence.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not teaching?

很多老师对我的人生带来影响，而其中我最深刻的是小学语文老师告诉我，所有事情都不一定要相同，每个人都拥有不同的能力。

Many teachers have made a great impact on my life, but my primary language teacher taught me that all things do not have to be the same and that each person has different abilities.

我相信音乐是一种通用语言。它可以连接不同文化背景的人们，也是一种为生活带来快乐和乐趣的方式。音乐可以帮助学生了解世界，学习文化多样性，我相信这样可以培养学生开放的思想和国际的视野。我希望每个学生都有机会从小就学习音乐，让他们可以在人生中欣赏和享受音乐。

I believe music is a universal language. It can be a path to connect people from different cultures and a way to bring happiness and fun in their lives. Music can help students to know more about the world and learn the cultural diversity which I believe it would cultivate students' open-mindedness and international mindset. I hope every student would get a chance to learn music from their early ages so that they can appreciate and enjoy the richness of music for the whole of their lives.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not teaching?

我喜欢学习其他语言。因为这有助于拓宽我的世界，更了解来自其他文化的人。而最近我对广东话和法语很感兴趣。

I do like learning other languages. Because learning it helps me to broaden my world and understand the people from other cultures more. These days, I am interested in Cantonese and French.

What excites you in joining TWIS?

作为TWIS的创校老师之一，我看到许多挑战等待着我，但同时也为我带来很多的机会去学习和发展我的专业。我相信有能力在未来几年担任中学项目(MYP)协调员或高中项目(DP)协调员。

Being a founder teacher of TWIS, I see plenty of challenges awaiting me, however, they come along with tons of learning opportunities for me to grow professionally. I have full capacity to be MYP coordinator/DP coordinator in the coming years.

If you could go on a Yangtze River cruise with three individuals (fictitious or non-fictitious), who would they be and why?

如果我可以选择逃离我的家人(妻子和儿子)，那么可以考虑一下其他人。好吧，开玩笑而已，我想选择和医生，警察和小偷一起旅行。因为，在这段长时间的对话中，我有机会去认识同理心、冒险精神和不同的观点。

If I have an option to escape from my family ( wife and son) then could have thought about other individuals. Okay, jokes apart, I would like to choose to travel with a doctor, policeman and a thief. Because, I see a great number of opportunities to learn about empathy, risk-taking and different perspectives that come during these long conversations.

It excites me to join TWIS because working in a new country means there will be lots to learn and will be yet another journey of discovery and exploration in education.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not teaching?

我喜欢按计划画画和创作艺术，希望有一天我能在一个得体又理想的画廊举办我的个人展览。我也喜欢旅行，和学习音乐制作方面的新技能。

I enjoy painting and making art with the plan and hoping once I will be able to host my solo exhibition in a proper gallery one day. I also love to travel, learning new skills in music-making.
