10月18日，备受期待的“2023民心科学日”活动来啦！在科学日活动的开幕式上，科学组的教师们惊喜大变身，上演了一场科学家版本的“百变大咖秀”，将氛围感直接拉满。
On 18 October,the highly anticipated"Minxin Science Day"finally arrived!At the opening ceremony of the Science Day,the teachers from the Science department underwent a delightful transformation,putting on a scientist-themed"Versatile Talent Show"that instantly filled the atmosphere with excitement.
科学组教师们精心准备了一系列神秘又有趣的实验，带领同学们感受科学魔法的魅力，点燃他们对科学探索的兴趣和热情。
The Science department teachers meticulously prepared a series of mysterious and engaging experiments,guiding the students to experience the enchantment of scientific magic,and igniting their passion and curiosity for scientific exploration.
咱们的潘总校长也被邀请上台参与到科学实验中。只见她在试管中加入各种试剂，经过一番操作，接下来，舞台上会发生什么呢？
Our Head of School,Dr Poon,was also invited to participate in a science experiment on stage.She skilfully added various reagents to test tubes,and after some intriguing manoeuvres,what would happen next on the stage?

本届科学日活动，以趣味科学小实验为主要内容，学校精心组织了丰富多彩的实验活动，令人目不暇接。从神奇有趣的物理实验，到充满神秘色彩的化学实验，再到富有挑战性的生物实验，每一个环节都让人感到惊叹不已。校园里不时传来阵阵欢呼声，大家兴奋地参与其中，尽情享受科学的乐趣和魅力。
This year's Science Day,with its main focus on fun science experiments,offers a wide variety of experiment activities that keep everyone actively involved.From captivating physics experiments to intriguing chemistry demonstrations and challenging biology experiments,each part left students amazed.The campus echoed with cheers as everyone enthusiastically took part,thoroughly relishing the excitement and allure of science.

什么？手掌中竟然燃烧起熊熊火焰？炫酷的“火焰掌”的实验吸引了一大批学生们的围观。科学教师们一边指导学生尝试实验，一边解释其中的原理，让同学们惊叹不已。
What's this?Flames ablaze in the palm of your hand?The captivating"Fiery Hand"experiment attracted a large group of students who watched in awe.While guiding students through the experiment,the science teachers explained the underlying principles,leaving their classmates amazed.
与此同时，科学组刘荣老师和林伟豪博士正专心地进行着另一项实验，他们将试管中的糖果不断加热，空气中弥漫着紧张的气息，大家都在等待着接下来会发生什么。
At the same time,our science teachers,Mr Robert Liu and Dr Frankie Lam,were fully engrossed in another experiment.They were steadily heating candies in a test tube,creating a suspenseful atmosphere as everyone eagerly awaited what would happen next.

在另一项实验中，我们的科学教师正在往气球中充入神秘气体，紧接着，神奇的事情发生了。当实验者吸入气球内的气体后，仿佛吃下了神丹妙药，竟一秒变声，男声也可以变萝莉，让人忍俊不禁。而这就是有名的氦气“变声气球”实验。
In another experiment,our science teachers filled balloons with a mysterious gas.Then,something magical occurred.When the participants inhaled the gas from the balloon,it was as if they had taken a potion,instantly altering their voices.Even male voices transformed into high-pitched tones,resulting in bursts of laughter.This is the famous"Voice-Changing Balloon"experiment using helium gas.

So,what happens when a fresh and vibrant rose is immersed in a smoky beaker?The experiments involving"Frozen Roses"and frozen bananas allowed students to witness the magical power of liquid nitrogen up close and personal.

在生物实验室中，Mr Ben Nolan正带领同学们进行一项有趣的实验——从香蕉中提取DNA。同学们全神贯注地聆听着老师的讲解，利用特殊工具和试剂，小心地提取香蕉溶液中的DNA。在整个实验过程中，同学们感到既新奇又兴奋，同时也感受到了科学实验的乐趣和挑战。
In the biology lab,Mr Ben Nolan led students in a fascinating experiment—extracting DNA from bananas.Students were fully engaged,listening intently to the teacher's explanations,and carefully extracted the banana DNA using special tools and reagents.Throughout the novel and exciting experiment,students experienced the fun and challenges of scientific experiments.
而“糖液折光”实验，则为同学们打开了另外一扇新奇的大门。通过巧妙地利用糖水，他们亲眼目睹到了光路的改变。是不是很神奇？
And then there was the"Sugar Twists Light"experiment,which opened up another intriguing dimension.By cleverly using sugar water,students got to see first-hand how light changes its path.Pretty cool,right?

As the sun fell lower in the sky,the students'enthusiasm for scientific exploration remained sky-high.Filled with anticipation,they eagerly awaited the next challenge.
