深圳南山国王学校的校园设计 | The Design of Our Pre-Prep

 

 

我们的建筑师辛迪沃尔特斯在关于新学校项目的介绍中说道：英国坎特伯雷国王学校，始建于公元597年，是英国最古老的学校。座落于世界著名的坎特伯雷大教堂内，国王学校的建筑精美且底蕴深厚，室外空间宽阔。

 

深圳，位于珠江东岸，是当今中国飞速发展的国际大都市，吸引了全球各大公司在此落户。高楼大厦随处可见的深圳和中世纪的坎特伯雷是两座截然不同的城市，也正是这两座城市之间地理，文化和气候的巨大差异，激发了建筑师对深圳南山国王学校的设计灵感。这所位于坎特伯雷的英国最古老的学校提供的是二十一世纪的前沿教育系统，而位于深圳南山区的新旗舰学校将会是对这一非凡历史背景的当代回应。我们从学术空间围绕景观中庭的传统空间布局中汲取设计灵感，和坎特伯雷大教堂中标志性的绿色庭院相得益彰。

Our architect, Cindy Walters, has this to say about the design of the new school:"The King's School, founded in 597AD, is the oldest school in the United Kingdom. Sitting within the precincts of the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral, it features find buildings and outdoor spaces.

Shenzhen, on the eastern bank of the Pear River, is now one of China's mega cities, home to high-flying tech graduates and global corporations. The high-rise towers of Shenzhen could not be more of a contrast to the medieval city of Canterbury, and this rich geographic, cultural and climatic contract between the two cities has inspired our architectural vision for the Kings' School Shenzhen International. While the King's School in Canterbury offers a twenty-first-century education in the UK's oldest school, the new flagship school at Nanshan is a contemporary response to that remarkable historic setting. We have drawn inspiration from the tradition of arranging academic accommodation around landscaped courtyards, and our design reflects the iconic green courts that define the Canterbury Cathedral precincts.

 

结合深圳当地气候分析，我们致力于创造一个拥有充足的自然采光和自然通风的舒适教学环境。通过与英国景观建筑设计公司BHSL的联合设计，新校区的教学楼环抱着绿色景观庭院和屋顶花园，为师生创造一个美丽而又舒适的教学环境，提升师生的幸福感。

 

最重要的是，我们希望新校园的设计能够激发教师和幼儿之间的更多互动和合作，从而促进学生的学习积极性。每一个教学空间的设计都经过了严谨的推敲，以确保能够激发幼儿创造力，增强他们对学习的热爱。

Our understanding of the local climate has informed how the buildings function and creates well-lit and ventilated learning environments. Working with UK-based landscape architects BHSL, the new school buildings are arranged around generous garden courts and planted roof terraces, creating a beautiful and comfortable place to teach and learn that promotes a sense of wellbeing in pupils and staff.

Most importantly, the new school has been designed to motivate learning by encouraging collaborative relationships between staff and students. The design of the education spaces has been rigorously tested to ensure they create a progressive learning environment that encourages creativity and a love of learning.

 

深圳南山国王学校将于2019年9月开办，首先完成的是有着温馨氛围的幼儿园和国际教师公寓。幼儿园部分位于现有建筑的1—3层，每一层都可以通向有安全防护遮挡的花园或露台，为学生提供了户外学习和玩乐的空间。

 

幼儿园的空间设计旨在鼓励教师采用创新的教学方法使用空间。除了宽敞的教室外，幼儿园还配备了供师生进行休闲讨论的小组活动室，以及有着丰富藏书的图书馆和激发孩子想象力和动手能力的创作空间。我们会鼓励所有的教师在日常教学中使用这些空间进行教学活动，打破传统的仅局限于教室的教学模式。

 

美丽舒适的校园设计，鼓舞人心的教师团队以及国际认可的课程设置，三者结合将会创造一个让幼儿在认知和社交等各方面都得到提升的环境。在这里，幼儿们快乐，友善，充满好奇心，个性尽显。

Our Pre-Prep building will open in 2019 and provide a delightful kindergarten as well as flats for teachers from around the world. The kindergarten is arranged over the lower three floors of existing buildings, each of which opens onto a covered protected garden or terrace for outdoor learning and play.

The design of the kindergarten encourages teachers to adopt new and creative approaches to the use of space. Classrooms are large and there are group rooms for breakout work, as well as a generous library and 'maker-spaces'. Teaching staff will be encouraged to use all these spaces on a daily basis, broadening the pupils' experience beyond a tradition classroom-based approach to teaching and learning.

The combination of an uplifting school design, inspiring teachers, and an internationally recognised and comprehensive curriculum will create the perfect environment in which pupils can flourish academically and socially: be happy, kind, curious and celebrate their individuality."

Walters & Cohen is an award-winning architecture practice with more than 50 education projects completed, including pre-school and children's centres, primary schools, secondary schools and masterplans. The practice goes from strength to strength and is well known for its innovative designs that delight and inspire, in particular in the education sector. In 2018 the practice completed their first university project, a building for Newnham College, Cambridge, which was named RIBA East's Building of the Year 2019.
